Introducing the Co-CEO Model

When the Harvard Business Review recently posted global data on employee engagement, most people focused on the problem: widespread disengagement, low morale, and the growing gap between corporate profits and employee fulfillment.

But my attention went straight to their proposed solution — “radical management innovation and employee upskilling.”

Yes. That’s it. That’s the key.

We don’t need another decade of diagnosing the same old issues. We need bold, imaginative experimentation. We need leaders willing to prototype new ways of working — ways that don’t just increase profits, but elevate human potential.

And I believe the future of leadership lies in a new kind of shared power: a Co-CEO model designed for the next era of business.

The Problem: One CEO Can’t Do It All

The traditional CEO role was designed for a different era — one where control, efficiency, and hierarchy were seen as the ultimate indicators of success.

But in today’s rapidly changing, interconnected world, that model is outdated. One person — no matter how visionary — cannot simultaneously drive profit and nurture people.

As organizations scale, employees become numbers. Culture becomes a talking point. Human potential becomes a line item in the budget. The result? A massive underutilization of creativity, energy, and innovation across every level of the organization.
